What are the Different Types of Eating Disorders?

Anorexia Nervosa (AN)

A condition where an individual restricts the amount of food eaten to control body size and shape.  An intense fear of gaining weight is present.  Restricting occurs through dieting, fasting (skipping meals), and/or excessive exercise leading to malnourishment and significantly low body weight.  There is a restricting subtype and a binge-eating/purging type.

Bulimia Nervosa (BN)
Binge-Eating Disorder (BED)
Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
