Job Summary:

WELL & Company, a primary and urgent care clinic, is looking for a compassionate LPN or RN to join its Alexandria team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care, help coordinate patient treatment plans, and assist with scheduling and front desk duties. This position offers an opportunity to make an impact on the lives of our patients and clients while growing professionally in a supportive environment. It will also be essential to be able to travel to our St. Jospeh location as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, direct and evaluate total nursing care as determined by the patient’s age related physical, psychosocial and culture needs in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures of WELL & Company.
• Provides case management by being a patient advocate, resource and contact person for patients.
• Provides basic education information to patients and families, focusing on self-care appropriate to their age and identified learning considerations and needs.
• Performs assessment data collection and documents subjective data (chief complaint and allergies) and objective data (vital signs, weight, etc.). Reviews health history information including, but not limited to, personal health history, personal surgical history, family history, social history and habits.
• Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly as outlined in WELL & Company policy and procedures.
• Performs lab/diagnostic treating as ordered by health care provider.
• Demonstrates an ability to remain calm, perform effectively and professionally during peak periods of activity and emergency situations.
• Anticipate and prepares examination room with equipment and supplies required for the visit. Assists health care provider with examination and procedures per request.
• Utilizes universal precautions in obtaining specimens (venipuncture, cultures, etc.) and in delivery of patient care.
• Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meeting and other clinical meetings.
• Greet clients and patients in a timely and friendly manner, either personally or by telephone or electronic messaging.
• Obtain payment after services are completed and schedule patients for procedures, medical examinations, and consultations for clinic and MedSpa.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Current, unencumbered, state license to practice as a RN or LPN.
3. Maintains BLS certification.
4. Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and ability to work effective with patient and/or patient families, personnel, medical staff and general public.
5. Previous clinic experience.
